It was recently brought to light that the park has been there since 1945. That means it’s been in existence for 70+ years. Before it was named Courtyard Estates, The Thomas Mobile Home park was there when Graceland Shopping Center was still a horse farm. This info was learned from a past site manager.

Additionally, though Courtyard is a 55+ senior community, 55 is the youngest a resident might be. The average age is 70+ since there are many neighbors in their 80s and 90s.

This is important to note because people younger than 65 might have a couple of years of work left in them, but the reality is that most all of Courtyard’s population is retirement age. All the more reason to leave them be and let them enjoy the golden years aging in place in their homes––not being displaced by luxury apartment developments.
